What you need:
Paint (washable) I prefer Crayola finger paint
Construction paper
Scissors (kid safe if you are letting the children cut out any part of the turkey)
Glue
Eyes (optional)
Paint the child's hands solid colors to make the feathers. About 4 hand prints in semicircle will work. Then cut out a round circle for the body. You can either draw legs or choose to cut out and glue on legs as well. Glue eyes on or draw eyes.
Let the child assemble the turkey to get more out of the project. This is free art which helps the child learn as he or she plays and creates. The only thing that should be controlled is the hand prints.
